Hey Work It Out Fam 💪🏾✨
Let’s talk about lifting — and no, I don’t mean carrying everyone else’s emotional baggage (we’re leaving that behind in 2025 😅). I’m talking about lifting weights… lifting yourself… finding your power.
If you’ve ever felt nervous about strength training — maybe you don’t want to “bulk up,” maybe you’ve never touched a dumbbell in your life, or maybe you’ve convinced yourself it’s not “your thing” — I want to gently call that out with love:
Lifting weights is for EVERYONE.
Yes, you, too!
No matter your size. No matter your age. No matter your starting point. You are not too old, too big, too small, or too weak to lift weights.

Lifting weights helps you:
Build muscle (which boosts metabolism!)
Strengthen bones and joints (Which is especially important for women)
Improve balance and gives you an energy boost
Can boost confidence and help to regulate your weight

Most people think that when you lift weights, you have to start with heavy 10 or 20 lb weights. This is simply not true.
2 lbs, 5 lbs, soup cans, WATER BOTTLES — it’s not about how heavy you go. It’s about how consistently you show up.
Lifting reminds you that you are strong, capable, and growing — from the inside out.
So if you’ve been on the fence, consider this your permission slip to pick up those weights… and step into your power.

🥗 A Summer Recipe to Fuel Your Strength: The Glow-Up Salad
After that lift (or stretch or dance break! Heeeyyy), you need fuel that makes you feel light, energized, and glowing. Try this quick summer salad — it’s fresh, fabulous, and full of flavor.
✨ What You’ll Need:
1 cup mixed greens
½ cup sliced strawberries
¼ avocado
¼ cup crumbled feta (or vegan cheese)
2 tbsp chopped walnuts
Grilled chicken or chickpeas
Drizzle of balsamic glaze or lemon vinaigrette
Eat it slowly, breathe deeply, and take the time to enjoy being with yourself.
